The FCR (Flashlight Candle Replica) is the workshop's first candle, now in new colours. It is a vivid, (sometimes) messy, and temporal sculpture that is passed on to you as-if it was already in use. Inspired by a German Duracell Battery advert from the 1980s of a drawing of a flashlight used as a candle holder, FCR Series combines numerous quotidian objects and miniatures from around the workshop that, almost by magic, attach to the flashlight to create one unified (and unidentified) solid new object, that from one angle looks like a prop from a horror film and from another - something that you might get in a Happy Meal. The FCR would be a good fit for a dinner party table or as a late night reading partner, and also as a great housewarming gift. . . . . . . . . . .
Instructions and safety:
It is essential to trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each use.
To maximise the candle’s melt pool, the first time you light the candle, after the initial ’top candle part’ has melted down, you should burn for a constant 3 hours allowing the candle to reach its full edge.
Do not burn for longer than 3 hours at any one time.
Please note that this candle will drip some wax when burning (see disclaimer).
Since all the candles are made by hand, there might be a slight variation in colour or detail.
Due to the candle's design and the various widths along the candle, the flame may change size and shape as you burn.
The candle may drip and melt irregularly and unpredictably (especially in the lower half of the candle). We recommend you place it on a tray or protected surface to catch excess and melted wax and never leave it unattended.
This is not a toy and when lit - is not suitable for children at any age.
